At Notre Dame de Chicago

Yesterday I went to a one-day meeting at Notre Dame de Chicago, once a prominent French church run by the Blessed Sacrament Fathers, still an active parish.

We met in the church basement, which was lined with catechetical windows like this one.  I just realized they left out "Spiritus."  Hmm...

I accidentally took a cross-selfie getting this view from behind the altar.

Blessed Sacrament was the place to go on Holy Thursday. They would have up to 30,000 people come through on Holy Thursday to visit the altar of repose. This angel received their offerings.

The church had perpetual adoration until the Blessed Sacrament Fathers left. As each priest finished his hour he could buzz the room of the next priest using these convenient buttons in the sacristy.

We were all interviewed about rites, Easter Vigil, and RCIA for catechetical videos. Gulp.
