Tonight we had a lovely walk around Beacon Hill, from the Chief Sealth Trail...
To a P-Patch...
...to the Food Forest at Jefferson Park. It was a nice night for a walk.
Camino Seattle started yesterday. So far, the walks have been pretty short. Tonight we walked along the waterfront in Everett. We did not realize that Captain Vancouver landed here.
It's a pretty nice spot to land:
Turns out Henry "Scoop" Jackson was an Everett native and lived in this house throughout his long Senate career.
Today was Noelle's Quinceañera celebration. Not pictured: the other 29 kids in her court, the boys doing their best to look cool in ties and suspenders, the girls just trying not to fall down in their heels.
I am always happy to make other people look tall in photos.
Noelle and her tiny double. Part of the Quinceañera tradition is the "last doll."
Happy birthday, Noelle!
As readers of this blog know, visiting archives is one of my favorite pastimes and/or work-related activities. Where else would you find a fancy prie-dieu with cigar burns?
Or the snuffbox of Father Fierens...
...still full of snuff?
Doodles in Bishop Blanchet's pontifical:
This is the very quintessence of church archives:
It has been a great week for aunties! On Tuesday Zizi visited. Here she is opening a unicorn covered in Play Doh. (Long story.)
And here she is avoiding the sprinkler in the backyard.
On Wednesday night we visited little Cash. He loves stories, especially "Dear Zoo."
Family portrait time. Hopefully M's pics came out better.
Until next time, Cash!
We had a lovely dinner with M and K! We got to see photos of Spain and Portugal. However, I was most taken with the photo of young Max.
Fado music is all the rage with M and K these days.
Kathy cutting into one of her amazing concoctions.
Thank you, dear Lambiegroup!
Johnny's birthday is the day after mom's birthday.
He was really a cute little boy. The camera must have been at a very high shutter speed to make it look like he was standing still in this picture.
Here are the same two people today. We all decided we grew up to be somewhat cooler than we had anticipated in our awkward youths.
Though the big celebrations were this weekend, no birthday would be complete without cake. D made an amazing cake with T-Rex.
